SkyBridge

Welcome to the last post of the Wednesdays in December’s series: Towers around the world. Today I would like to present the SkyBridge, in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel to Saudi Arabia three times (once in 2011 and twice in 2012). I say ‘blessed’ because it was an amazing experience. I have always wondered how real life was in that part of the world. What I can tell you in a few words: I was quite impressed.

In my first trip I was able to visit the SkyBridge. This attraction sits on top of the Kingdom Centre Tower, a 65-storey building (302 meters tall). It’s one of the most important tourist attractions in the Kingdom. From the 65 meters long bridge, you can see the whole city of Riyadh.

Operation times*: The SkyBridge is open from Saturday to Thursday, from 10:30am to 11:30pm. On Fridays it opens from 4pm to 11:30pm. It is recommended that you buy your tickets 45 minutes to one hour prior to closing time.

If you ever have the opportunity to visit Saudi Arabia (or the Kingdom, as I like to call it), the SkyBridge is a great option to overlook the entire city of Riyadh.

* Fees indicated are dated from December 2014 and may change. Hours of operation can also change.
Thank you for following me during this series Wednesdays in December. I hope you have enjoyed the series and that you have the chance to visit those incredible structures soon. Take care!
